James Bond Auction for UNICEF UK

Awesome work from old school James Bond actor Roger Moore, who recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the films to help auction off some amazing Bond memorabilia in commemoration. Held at Christies, all the proceeds went to UNICEF UK and a number of other charitable causes, with 50 lots available for auction from 28th September to 8th October 2012.

The auction is led by a true star of the recent Quantum of Solace movie with Daniel Craig – the 2008 Aston Martin 6 Litre V12 DBS 2-Door Coupe! This alone is expected to fetch up to £150,000. Other items include –

  • Jane Seymour’s playing cards from Live and Let Die
  • Scaramanga’s golden bullet buckle from in The Man With the Golden Gun
  • Two piece suit worn by Pierce Brosnan in The World Is Not Enough
  • Prada cocktail dress worn by Olga Kurylenko in Quantum of Solace

Sir Roger, who played the lead role with such distinction between 1973 to 1985, has been working as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for over two decades now. He said –

I hope fans will be inspired to bid as every penny raised will help to transform children’s lives. By supporting UNICEF you really do become the emergency food supply in Kenya, the life-saving vaccination in the Congo. You become the caring hand and the protector of all children and their rights.

Here’s hoping the raise an amazing amount of charitable donations not only for UNICEF, but from all the charities that will benefit from this great movie memorabilia auction.
