Charity Gifts Reviews
Adopt an Elephant
We love elephants, particularly baby ones as they are super cute! They are such an iconic animal and it’s shocking to learn that we’ve lost 90% of African elephants in the past century. In fact, 55 are killed every day for their tusks. When you adopt an elephant with WWF your will be helping their conservation efforts including protecting habitats and the restoration of degraded biological corridors.
What you get
- A gift pack including a cuddly elephant toy.
- Two exclusive magazines delivered three times a year.
- Free delivery within 3 business days.
Adopt a Giraffe
Giraffes are the tallest mammals on earth. Their legs alone, at around 6ft for adults, are taller than most humans! Sadly these beautiful and graceful animals are classed as vulnerable on the IUCN’s Red List.
Loss of habitat, human conflict and poaching are the main issues threatening their numbers in the wild. There has been a population decline of 40% over the past 50 years, and they have become extinct in seven African countries.
Giraffes are also a familiar sight in zoos and circuses across the world. However, life in captivity subjects these wide-ranging animals to health problems and inadequate living space, which is why Born Free work to conserve their numbers in the wild, to provide the life they deserve to lead.
Adopting a giraffe with Born Free supports their work with the Giraffe Conservation Foundation to protect threatened giraffes across Africa.
What you get
- Soft Toy – your own cuddly toy giraffe to keep at home.
- Adoption Pack, including a personalised certificate, animal story, fact sheet and glossy photo to display.
- “Adopt” Magazine delivered bi-annually with exclusive updates from Born Free.

Sponsor a Puppy Gordon
Gordon loves sleeping. His Volunteer Puppy Trainer Vicki told us: “Gordon’s favourite place to sleep is underneath the sofa. However, now he’s growing, he lies in front of it and sticks just his head underneath instead. It’s so funny!” And where else does he like to sleep? “Pretty much anywhere. My four teenage daughters love sitting on the floor so he can crawl onto their laps for a snooze.”
One day, he’ll transform a deaf person’s life by helping them to leave loneliness behind – and it all started with a little puppy, supported along his training journey by kind people like you. Will Gordon always love sleeping? Or will mealtimes and treats keep him alert? When will he grow so big that even his head won’t fit under the sofa? And which deaf person will he help to lead the full, rich life they deserve? Sponsor Gordon today and find out!

Sponsor a Puppy Bertie
Bertie loves to help! He loves helping in the garden – you could say he has ‘green paws’. He likes running around on the grass, just to make sure it’s nice and flat. He’s happy rolling among the flowers, to check for weeds, obviously. But his favourite garden activity is re-potting plants, even if they didn’t need re-potting. How helpful!
His Volunteer Puppy Trainer adores him. “He’s very friendly as well as funny,” she tells us. One day this cuddly helper really will help a deaf person to leave loneliness behind, while giving them hours of entertainment along the way. How do you think Bertie’s helpful nature will see him through his training? And which deaf person will Bertie help to reconnect with friends, with family, with the community around them… with life? Sponsor Bertie today and find out!
