Justice on Appeal is a Registered Charity which has been founded to assist individuals who have been convicted, who believe that they have been victims of miscarriages of justice, to have their cases reviewed and help to bring their cases before the Court of Appeal.
With a team of case reviewers and legal professionals, including a network of ex police officers, solicitors and barristers, they will identify and/or confirm grounds of appeal and assist those wrongly convicted who have come to us for assistance. Their mission is to promote and realign the legal justice system with the true sense of justice, working to uncover and resolve miscarriages of justice and wrongful convictions.
As long as the individual has no means of having their case reviewed (including having been turned down by solicitors or barristers, having no access to funds, etc) we will give a FREE and comprehensive review of their case. After written authorisation, Justice on Appeal will obtain all the relevant case papers from those previously involved in the case (solicitors, barristers, CPS etc), and one of their team of experienced case reviewers will go over the evidence and transcripts. Each case will have a Case Review Manager with the support of up to 25 law students, who will then refer the review of the case to their legal team.
As they are charity, they rely entirely on donations from private and corporate donors, and grant organisations.
Beneficiaries of our Case Review you are able to receive “The Golden Case Review before submission to the Appeal Court and/or CCRC” as expressed by a notable barrister and the knowledge that your appeal will have been expertly reviewed and prepared prior to submission. As long as they are able to substantiate the grounds of appeal, Justice for Appeal are guaranteed to help fight for your justice and protect your interests. The furtherance of Justice is their priority and they aim to ensure that it is not abused. With an experienced legal team, you will benefit from uncompromising case management to ensure every possible step is taken to see that justice has been served.
Justice on Appeal also support the training and development of the next generation of legal professionals, involving law students as members of their review teams, hoping to ensure that they are fully aware of the importance of justice within in legal system. By funding an increasing number of students for their undergraduate and professional law courses, Justice on Appeal hope that the ability to network with ex-police officers, solicitors, barristers and expert witnesses will also be of great benefit to the future of the legal system.
