Optimistworld.com launches Charity Awards to reward small-medium UK charities and individual fundraisers
HSBC supports inspirational Charity Awards
OptimistWorld.com a medium dedicated to providing a daily look on the bright side has today launched its Charity Awards inviting all small-medium UK charities and individual fundraisers to enter for their chance to win a large cash donation and global recognition for the great work they do. HSBC Amanah is the first sponsor of the awards with many other large corporations expected to follow suit.
Charities and fundraisers can register online with the deadline for applications closing on November 1st 2009. Every week five or more charities will be showcased on the site, with one voted through to the finals by the public until the final awards ceremony which takes place on 18th January 2010. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis so entrants are advised to submit their applications ASAP.
OptimistWorld.com was set up in 2008 with the sole purpose of spreading good news throughout the world. Publishing daily news and stories of hope, inspiration and positivity, the site is dedicated to celebrating all the good things happening around us every day, rather than the negative.
In the current economic climate, many companies have tightened their purse strings with charity donations often the first budget to be cut. With over 150,000 small to medium sized charities registered in the UK alone, OptimistWorld.com is thrilled to see that sunshine is glowing through and that large companies like HSBC Amanah are still offering their vital support.
HSBC Amanah says:
We are proud to support The OptimistWorld.com Charity Awards and celebrate the amazing work that small charities undertake every day. These people are the unsung heroes of this world and we feel that it’s essential that even during economic uncertainty, we continue to support important causes that make such a vital difference.
OptimistWorld.com founder Achim Kram says:
OptimistWorld.com was created with the mission of spreading positivity across the world. Every day, ordinary people are doing extraordinary things; whether it’s a mum raising money through a sponsored walk or a group of teenagers sitting in a bath of baked beans! We want to recognise all of these inspirational people, as well as the charities, for the amazing work that they do, as without their help and the generous support from companies like HSBC Amanah, smaller charities would not be able to continue with the vital, often life-changing services they offer.
