Two finalists in the Miss Northampton 2011 competition have joined forces to organise a charity fashion show with Topshop to help raise much needed funds for the MacMillan Cancer Support. The event will be held at Sazerac Bar, Northampton’s most exclusive cocktail establishment, with a whole host of treats on the night to ensure the show goes with a bang!
Tickets for the show are only £5 each, which is a steal seeing as entry includes a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival. All proceeds from the tickets will be going towards the Macmillan Cancer Support, alongside a kind donation from the Sazerac boys of a percentage of the drinks sales made on the night too.
All the clothes have been supplied by both Topshop and Topman, Northampton, with Identity Hair Salon doing all of the models’ hair for free. Music on the night will be provided for free by Mr. Matthew Potter, who is not only one of the UK’s greatest philanthropists but also a mighty fine tune selector. There will also a charity auction for a delicious piece of jewellery from Steffan’s, alongside a raffle with prizes that include –
- Free cut and blowdry at Seckington’s Hair
- Signed Northampton Saints and Cobblers merchandise
- Free cocktail masterclass for six people provided at Sazerac Bar
- Goodie bags
Co-organiser and Miss Northampton finalist, Gabriella Willmore, said –
It’s turning out to be a massive event, with so many people showing interest, whether to donate items for the raffle, or simply their time. Sophie and I have been very lucky as everyone has been so co-operative, with instant responses and enthusiasm towards the event. When we found out our project was to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, Sophie and I wished to team up to organise a huge event, as it is a charity close to both of our hearts and we have both had first hand experience with how amazing Macmillan nurses and the charity truly are.
