The cancer charity, UCare, is calling on everyone, particulary men, to visit their website for more information on the signs and symptons of urological cancer. This form of cancer affects the kidney, bladder, prostate, testicles or penis, and currently represents 20% of all diagnosed cancer.
Early diagnosis is the key element to successfully treat this form of cancer, and with 54,000 new cases each year, that’s 10,000 more than breast cancer, now is the time to check yourself . UCARE want to –
- Raise awareness of these cancers in both genders
- Raise awareness in men and encourage self examination
- Encourage men to seek help as not all symptoms of prostate cancer are due to growing older
Urological cancer awareness has not reached the public in the same way as other cancers, but by checking yourself regualarly you can help achieve an early diagnosis in case of possible symptoms. With the burden of the majority of these cancers falling on men, why not click on the link below to help spot the first signs, it’s better be safe than sorry.
